Meet Corena

I’m a communication and leadership coach with deep experience in both Fortune 100 companies and smaller companies navigating rapid growth and emerging culture. I work in an array of industries including financial services, big law, venture capital, tech and media. I draw on my career as an actor to help clients develop the presence required to ensure their messages are effectively conveyed to the audience of stakeholders they need to influence every day. I am dedicated to helping leaders become more skilled and courageous in the conversations and behaviors that will help them build cultures of accountability, trust, ownership and belonging. I have coached thousands of people through presentations, pitches, and vital conversations helping them to craft the most poignant version of their message, and deliver it with impact and authenticity.

I have administered and debriefed hundreds of 360s and other behavioral assessments. I have a blog discussing the most common issues my clients face and am co-author of the book The Five Lost Superpowers; Why We Lose Them and How to Get Them Back. I am currently writing a book about how we individually and collectively overvalue confidence.

I live in Connecticut with my husband and a 300 year old Sycamore tree. I love to read, cook, put things where they belong, and gather friends and family to indulge in the best and simplest gift of community.

My Training and Education

I earned my coaching certification through The Columbia Executive Coaching Program and have been certified by the International Coaching Federation.

I have an MFA from Yale University, a BA in theater from Connecticut College and have done extensive coursework in Gestalt and psychology.
